Pat Blair is a professional calligrapher who worked for twelve years as the Chief White House Calligrapher. Her path from her first introduction to lettering at age eight to making a living as a highly regarded and much sought-after calligrapher was serendipitous. Calligraphy is a graphic art, one of many that offers young people a creative and lucrative way in which to make a living. Throughout the course of her career, Pat always stuck to her mantra, “Everything that you do, should be the best that you can do.” Pat’s commitment to excellence served her well. She encourages young people to follow suit.
